GCSE retake courses offer students a second chance to achieve their full potential. There is an increasing emphasis that universities place on GCSE results means that a good set of GCSE exam results is more important than ever.
If you have good GCSE results, you give yourself the best possible chance of being accepted into your chosen sixth form college, university, or even your ideal industry.
We allow students to study for GCSEs alongside A levels for other subjects, so don’t worry that resitting one or two GCSE subjects will completely hold you back.
Why should I retake my GCSEs?
If you are not satisfied with your current results or require a certain minimum qualification to continue your studies, you can take the GCSE again.
Examples include anyone wishing to progress to A Level (5 GCSE Class A*C admission requirement) or those who missed their university course of choice because they did not have the correct A Level results in the required subject achieved.
Even if you want to drop out, good GCSE results are considered a requirement by many employers.
Who can do it?
Anyone can retake their GCSEs, regardless of age or previous knowledge.
For A Levels, you’ll need a GCSE at Grade C or higher in the relevant subject to start.
Whether you’ve dropped out of school or haven’t had an education in a while and just want to make a career change, it’s never too late to start learning.
How can I retake?
If you have recently taken your exams, always contact your college first to see if you can take the resit. If they don’t then please get in touch with us and we transfer your details to our college and put you forward for the next available GCSE retake the exam.
If it’s been a little longer, or you need to refresh your knowledge on the subject, we also offer a number of courses that package the exams together with modules to help you study.
What can I retake?
GCSE retakes are offered in almost every subject.
English, Mathematics and Science are just some of the most common subjects students chose to retake. In addition, certain languages or other specialisms, such as Psychology or Law are also popular choices for GCSE retakes.
How long will it take?
If you’re studying it for the first time, it can take between 12 months and 18 months to study and pass your GCSE. However, if you have done it before then you might be able confident to take the exam between 6 months and 12 months.
Where can I do it?
We offer almost all GCSE courses and can tailor the timetable based on your individual needs, meaning you can fit studying around your schedule.
We offer a variety of payment options, so there’s no need to worry if you don’t want to pay the whole fee upfront.
We provide everything you need to help you pass, including content for every module on your course – and mock exams to help make sure you know the material inside out. We also book your exam as well for you when you’re ready to take it.
